SMU alumna NoViolet Bulawayo ’07 returned to the Hilltop in September to discuss her first novel, We Need New Names, with the Class of 2018. The 2014 PEN/Hemingway Award-winner is only the second work of fiction to be chosen as the University’s Common Reading and is the first Common Reading book that was written by an SMU Graduate.
